Of Prisons and Palaces-Chpt 6

"Take out the trash, of course your Magnificent Mindyness."  I scooped up the nearby plastic bags and thought to myself, "If only I could toss you out with it."

Grim continued his musings as he made his rounds, "So, I have to be Mindy's personal nazi...again! Life under Mandy was never this oppressive. Mandy had her temperament, but she never degraded people, at least to this point. There are people literally starving here, and frankly I have better things to do than collect on their souls decades earlier than expected. This gal needs to go, but she has a hold over me that Mandy never dreamed of, and even if I had a plan, I have no real way to execute it."

Grim flew and flitted over several areas of the the city. Everybody was pretty much doing what they were supposed to be doing at the time they were supposed to be doing it. A few minor transgressions were noted, but nothing big like being out of uniform. The Morale Monday Festival was coming up, and frankly, Grim felt the populace deserved an early, if unknowing, break in the routine.

Grim swung over the Endsville Beach Marina and surrounding woods and was about to turn back when a flash of yellow caught his eye. The colors of the day were pretty much white for women and black and white for men. Somebody down there was really pushing their luck! Grim dropped down to investigate and was nearly surprised into a stupour when a familiar feminine and nasally voice addressed him.

"Took you long enough, do you know how long we've been bouncing about trying to stay hidden and hoping we'd see you?" It was none other than Mandy, Grim's old master!

"MANDY!" Grim quickly lowered his voice when Mandy glared at him angrily.Clearly she meant STFU!

Grim nodded his understanding and was about to speak when another familiar blast from the past voice surprised him.

"Hi, Grims!" It was Billy and he was genuinely glad to see Grim, having gave him a bear hug in the process.

"Yeah, Yeah, glad to see ya. Nice to see you're wearing proper clothes, unlike some people." He frowned at Mandy and her regular street clothes.

"Yeah, I'm a fashion risk, sue me. Look, we have a plan to rid Endsville of Mindy, and as odd as this seems coming from me, "I...she looked at Billy...we, need your help to pull it off."

I get the feeling you're not that high on Mindy's totem pole, so are you in, or are you out, and oh, what in the world does she have on you?!"
