I wiped the tears of mirth from my eyes before making my way downstairs again. The thought of Mindy wearing the Mask of the Beast was the best news I'd had in days. It wouldn't take long for HER to become a monster, not with that temper and ugly disposition of hers. And hey, maybe she'd finally have some meat on her bones.

However, my laughter was short lived when I found out that all of Mindy's minions were surrounding the castle and had basically been waiting for us. So Mindy wasn't quite as stupid as I took her for, she had obviously set up the whole thing, she knew I'd come over to Billy's and...well, that pretty much meant that she was on to me, too. I was afraid my Billy disguise earlier hadn't held water. Well, it was something I couldn't worry about now, I had an evil entity from the Doolin House who obviously had its eye on me, and now this HIM person and all his ghoulies on my tail.

Everyone was staring at me expectantly. It was excrutiatingly apparent that they figured I had an answer for everything. That could be good and bad...bad when I felt pressure and on the spot to come up with something. At the same time, I didn't like to appear weak. I wasn't nearly as pompously self righteous as I was when I was 10, but I most certainly had pride in my abilities.

Having got ahold of myself, I stood up tall and faced them. "Well, as the saying goes, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em."

Grim's eyeholes got even wider than usual, if that was possible. "Excuse me?"

"Disguise, my dear Grim."

Grim frowned. "It hasn't worked so far."

"As they say, Grim, third time's a charm." I was convinced that disguising ourselves as supernatural baddies to infiltrate Mindy's ranks would give us an advantage. I wasn't planning on trying to fool them for long, just get ourselves in position and perhaps beat Mindy at her own game.

Grim sighed. "I sure hope you know what you're doin', mon."

"Of course I...." I was cut off by the sound of scuffling right outside the house. I even thought I heard a low growl. "What was that?" I whispered.

"I don't..." Grim began, but that's all he said before a giant beast being led on a leash burst through the door, terrifying us all and forcing us to fall backwards. The hideous beast was about the size of an elephant and growling ferociously. Holding it somewhat at bay was an ugly, red, devil looking creature that was smiling gleefully at me.

"Mandy, I presume?" he asked with an evil trill.
Mandy's laughter is suddenly silenced when she meets HIM!

I guess HIM can stop anybody from laughing!
