Prisons and Palaces Pt2 Ch35

I was out of breath as I stood trying to console Cerebus...I really needed to get more exercise, but to me it had always been overrated. Who wanted to get sweaty and red faced and feel muscles stretched to the limit if you didn't have to? It was like a death wish in my opinion and frankly, I had better things to do with my time. Still...at this moment, being so out of breath from dealing with the Mindy/Cerebus struggle had me wishing I had paid more attention to my physical well being.

Hoss Delgado was standing there, stroking his chin proudly and loudly chomping on a mint. I was too tired to be surprised to see him, but after what had just happened, I was glad he was here. If I was to defeat my enemies once and for all, I'd need him on my side.

"Nice to see you all again," Hoss said, "Sorry I'm late."

By now, Cerebus looked like his male hormones had gotten somewhat in check, but like any male, he was whimpering from his lost chance. The whining was annoying, but far better than the vicious growls I had heard coming from the Mindybeast as she tried to rip me to shreds. Honestly, I don't think I had ever been so horrified in my life....being torn limb from limb was really not my idea of a good time. I myself had finally gotten my lungs to settle back into normalicy, so I addressed Hoss in the most authoritative way I could.

"Well, you're here now. And as you can see, we are in need of your unique expertise. I've got enemies tenfold, and I think we're going to have to deal with them one by one." Not only did I have Mindy, but now HIM, all the supernatural baddies, and worst of all, the Doolin entity. It was to much for any mortal to handle, and confronting them all at once was out of the question. "So...you know Eris. Any idea where they might have gone?"

I was through playing games...it was time to take care of Mindy before anything else. She was the root of this and I would make sure she was locked away in a zoo for the rest of her newly found canine life. And Eris...it was time her little Chaotic butt got a little taste of it's own medicine.
